Another Project

Well, Dad will be 85 this month and he is building a boat for his son. (My brother.) He is doing a great job. This will be a 9'-6" long, 54" wide hull that weighs 95 lbs. It will be powered by a 15hp Evinrude and run between 55 and 60 MPH. Between my dad and I we have built about 20 boats over the years.

Early stages installing the frame parts on the jig. This is a photo from the bow looking backwards. The hull is built upsidedown.

Side view. Bow is to the left, transom to the right.

View from transom end.

I am inspecting dads work. The sub-bottom is installed and now the battons.
The master craftsman inspecting his work. Dad famous words, "If it doesn't work we will alway think it should have."

Almost ready for the plywood bottom.

Another view. Stay tuned for more.
